A 26-year-old Nebraska man was sentenced to 135 months in federal prison on July 6, 2026, for child pornography offenses, the U.S. Department of Justice announced.

Joshua Hecht is a resident of Waverly. That community is in Nebraska. The sentencing took place in federal court in Omaha, also in Nebraska.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Hecht was convicted on two separate counts. The first involved transporting child pornography. The second count concerned the possession of such material.

The Justice Department confirmed the 135-month term, which a federal judge in Omaha imposed on Hecht, who is 26 years old and from Waverly.
