An Alabama man has pleaded guilty to acting as the getaway driver in a pharmacy burglary in Southeast Missouri, the U.S. Department of Justice said.

Cornelius Bray admitted his role in the break-in, which resulted in 16,800 pills being taken from the targeted pharmacy, according to the Justice Department.

Bray served as the driver for the operation, the Justice Department said. The pharmacy was located in Southeast Missouri.

The Justice Department confirmed that Bray, an Alabama resident, entered the guilty plea in connection with the theft of the pills. In total, 16,800 pills were removed from the pharmacy during the burglary in which Bray participated as the driver.
