Three previously convicted felons from Washington, D.C. were sentenced to federal prison for unlawfully possessing loaded firearms, U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro announced. All three were sentenced in U.S. District Court.

Rhondell Williams, 39, received 14 months. Officers found him intoxicated on a residential road in Southeast Washington while carrying a loaded ghost gun. He had two prior firearms convictions on his record, the Justice Department said.

James Gaskins, 30, was sentenced to 26 months after police recovered a loaded Glock 9mm pistol when he tried to flee from officers. That incident also took place in Southeast Washington.

James Fredrick Moore, 52, drew the longest sentence of the three: 27 months. Officers found Moore unconscious on a public sidewalk in Northwest Washington. A ghost gun and ammunition were recovered from him, according to the Justice Department.

All three men are District of Columbia residents whose prior felony convictions barred them from possessing firearms.
