A Texas man received a 57-month federal prison sentence in Salt Lake City on July 9, 2026, for ATM robbery offenses spanning two states, the U.S. Department of Justice said.

Jawuan Donte Thomas, 23, was sentenced in the District of Utah after attempting to rob an ATM in Utah in 2024 and successfully robbing one in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. The Utah attempt failed; the Ohio robbery was completed.

In addition to the prison term, Thomas must serve three years of supervised release. The Justice Department said a restitution order of $205,080 was also imposed.
