A federal court has sentenced a Cuyahoga County resident to 14 years in prison on drug distribution charges, the U.S. Department of Justice announced. The defendant is 28 years old.
According to the U.S. Department of Justice, the conviction rested on two counts of possession with intent to distribute controlled substances. One count involved methamphetamine; the other involved cocaine base, the form of the drug commonly known as crack.
The Justice Department said the quantities found in the man's possession were consistent with distribution rather than personal use. The 14-year federal term reflects the combined weight of both charges brought against the Cuyahoga County man.
