A 51-year-old Portland man faces federal charges after multiple firearms were reported stolen at Portland International Airport, the U.S. Department of Justice announced.

Terell Wayne Overton, a Portland, Oregon resident, was charged by criminal complaint with two offenses, according to the Justice Department. The first count is felon in possession of a firearm. The second is theft of a firearm.

The Justice Department said the alleged thefts took place at Portland International Airport, where several victims reported their firearms missing. The charges were brought by the U.S. Department of Justice.

Overton is 51 years old, the Justice Department confirmed. The criminal complaint marks the formal initiation of federal proceedings against him on both the possession and theft counts.
