Paul Pelosi struck a parked vehicle in Yountville, California on Friday and left the scene, according to The Guardian. Yountville sits in Napa County, in the heart of California wine country.

The Guardian reported that Pelosi, husband of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, was behind the wheel of a brown convertible when his car collided with a legally parked vehicle along the roadside. He stopped briefly after the impact, then departed without remaining at the scene.

The Napa County sheriff's office announced the incident on Saturday, NPR reported. Authorities described the damage to the parked car as "major," according to both NPR and The Guardian. No injuries were reported from the crash, The Guardian said.

Pelosi could face misdemeanor charges in connection with the collision, The Guardian reported. The sheriff's office released a formal statement about the crash, according to The Guardian.

The incident left the parked vehicle with what authorities called major damage, while Pelosi drove off from the scene in Napa County's Yountville.
