A 33-year-old Mexican national was sentenced in federal court in Muskogee after pleading guilty to unlawfully reentering the country following multiple prior deportations, the U.S. Department of Justice said.

Raciel Osorio Lopez, who was living without legal status in Atoka, Oklahoma, entered his guilty plea on April 28, 2026. The charge was a single federal count of reentry by a previously removed alien. He was sentenced to time served.

Investigators found Osorio Lopez inside the United States on March 27, 2026. At that time, he had not received consent from the Homeland Security Secretary to seek readmission, the Justice Department said.

Osorio Lopez had been removed from the country three separate times before his discovery. The first removal took place on April 28, 2015, followed by a second on August 19, 2015, and a third on March 9, 2017. He also used the aliases Raciel Osoriolopez and Raciel Osorio-Lopez, according to the Justice Department.

The prosecution was brought by federal prosecutors in the Eastern District of Oklahoma, based in Muskogee.
