A mother and daughter from Florida have been sentenced after pleading guilty to a healthcare fraud conspiracy, the U.S. Department of Justice announced. The two women were also ordered jointly to repay more than $800,000 tied to the scheme.
Tera Marie Campbell, 47, is a resident of Maitland, Florida. Her daughter, Tayler Ann Krauss, 27, lives in McDavid, Florida. Both women were convicted on charges of conspiring to defraud healthcare programs, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
The Justice Department did not release additional details about the nature of the fraud or the programs targeted. The sentencing order requiring repayment of over $800,000 stands as the financial consequence imposed on the pair. Campbell and Krauss now face that combined restitution obligation alongside their respective criminal sentences for their roles in the conspiracy.
