A two-month Homeland Security Task Force operation in Palm Beach County, Florida ended with dozens of people facing federal firearms and drug trafficking charges and 94 firearms taken off the streets, the U.S. Department of Justice announced on July 9, 2026.

The initiative was aimed specifically at repeat violent offenders in the county, which sits in South Florida's Southern District. Both federal and local law enforcement agencies took part in the operation.

U.S. Attorney Jason A. Reding Quiñones leads the Southern District of Florida, which oversaw the enforcement effort.
