The UN's aid coordination office warned on July 30, 2026, that the humanitarian situation across the Middle East is deteriorating every day as fighting continues in the region.

OCHA, which coordinates international humanitarian response, said the toll on civilians is mounting across multiple countries. The office told United Nations News that essential infrastructure has been disrupted in several of those countries, putting civilians at increasing risk.

The fighting, OCHA said, extends beyond the exchange of US-Iran strikes and counterstrikes, affecting a broader stretch of the region.
