A federal court in Omaha, Nebraska, sentenced two people on July 6, 2026, for sex trafficking two minors, the U.S. Department of Justice reported.

One of the defendants is Michel Daiana Martinez-Gonzalez. She is 29 years old and a native of Colombia, according to the Justice Department. The other defendant, Alfredo Manuel Zambrano-Hurtado, is 26 and from Venezuela, the agency said.

The Justice Department reported that both individuals received sentences for their respective roles in the offense. The case centered on the sex trafficking of two minors, with the proceedings held in federal court in Omaha.

Nebraska's largest city, Omaha, is in the eastern part of the state. The federal courthouse there handled the July 6 sentencing of both Martinez-Gonzalez and Zambrano-Hurtado, the Justice Department confirmed.
