NVIDIA announced that 74 of its research papers were accepted at the 2026 edition of the International Conference on Machine Learning, the company said.
ICML, which convenes annually, drew submissions from thousands of AI researchers worldwide, according to NVIDIA. The conference accepted papers across a broad range of topics in the field.
NVIDIA said open frontier models have become foundational to modern AI science, a characterization the company drew from the body of accepted papers at ICML 2026. The company also said, based on those papers, that open AI infrastructure is now central to how modern AI research is conducted.
NVIDIA added that the accepted papers at ICML 2026 indicate a clear directional trend in AI research, though the company did not specify what that direction is beyond the role of open models and open infrastructure.
In total, 74 NVIDIA papers earned spots in the ICML 2026 program, the company reported.
