A 67-year-old Maryland resident pleaded guilty in federal court to four charges tied to child sexual exploitation, the U.S. Department of Justice announced.

Luis Esteban Borunda, who lives in Essex, faces charges that include exploiting a child for sexual purposes, according to the Justice Department. A separate count covers the enticement and coercion of a minor. Two additional charges address the distribution and possession of child sexual abuse material, the Justice Department said.

The case was filed in Baltimore. Essex is a community in Maryland.

The Justice Department confirmed that Borunda entered the guilty plea to all four counts. He is 67 years old and faces federal prosecution on charges spanning the production, solicitation, distribution, and possession of material related to child sexual abuse.
