The European Commission released guidance on July 20, 2026, to help AI providers and deployers meet transparency requirements under the EU AI Act before those rules take effect.
The guidelines, issued from Brussels, are directed at companies and individuals that provide or deploy certain AI systems. The Commission published them to give those parties a clear path to compliance ahead of the August 2, 2026 date when the Act's transparency obligations begin to apply.
