A 55-year-old Garden Grove, California, man received a federal prison sentence of 87 months for conspiring to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl, the U.S. Department of Justice said. The sentencing took place in Honolulu the day before U.S. Attorney Ken Sorenson made the announcement.

District Judge Shanlyn A.S. Park imposed the sentence in federal court. The case also involved money laundering, according to the Justice Department.

Dylan Tai Dang will follow his prison term with five years of supervised release. A Homeland Security task force investigated the drug distribution conspiracy that led to his conviction.
