NASA's Artemis II mission broke the agency's previous streaming record, drawing more than 149.4 million views across NASA-owned platforms, NASA reported.
The total was accumulated across several major moments in the mission. According to NASA, the view count covered the launch event, the lunar flyby, and the splashdown. NASA operated round-the-clock live streams for the duration of the mission, and the Orion spacecraft had its own dedicated camera views streamed continuously to viewers.
NASA said the 149.4 million views represented sustained global public engagement with the mission. The figure surpassed a prior NASA streaming record, though NASA did not specify what that earlier benchmark was.
The combined viewership across the launch, the flyby, and the splashdown pushed the total past 149.4 million, NASA confirmed, marking the highest streaming audience the agency has recorded on its own platforms.
