Ukraine struck Yandex data centres inside Russia on or before October 9, 2026, causing disruptions to the tech company's digital services, BBC News and the Financial Times reported.
Yandex, a major Russian search engine and technology firm widely known as "Russia's Google," acknowledged that customers may experience disruption as a direct result of the attacks.
The Financial Times reported that Ukraine described the strikes as retaliation for Russian attacks on Ukrainian digital infrastructure.
