A Nevada man and a Canadian-British national were sentenced to federal prison on Thursday, July 9, 2026, for their roles in a years-long scheme that defrauded thousands of investors, the U.S. Department of Justice said.

The Nevada man received 36 months in prison, while the Canadian-British national was sentenced to 136 months. Both were also ordered to serve three years of supervised release following their prison terms, according to the Justice Department.

The fraud ran from 2018 to 2022 and drew in thousands of investors, resulting in losses totaling tens of millions of dollars.
