Shein reported a net loss of $99 million on July 27, 2026, as US tariffs and EU trade tensions cut into the fast-fashion retailer's finances ahead of its planned Hong Kong stock market debut.

The BBC said the company had been profitable before this result. US tariffs contributed to the decline, and the Financial Times reported that EU trade pressures also weighed on the company's performance.

Both outlets confirmed Shein is preparing for a listing on the Hong Kong stock exchange.
