Two nations joined the Artemis Accords within 24 hours of each other in July 2026, bringing total membership to 70 countries committed to peaceful, transparent, and responsible space exploration.

Serbia was the first to sign, on July 17, 2026, during a ceremony at NASA Headquarters in Washington. The country became the 69th signatory, and NASA noted that its relationship with the agency stretches back to the Apollo program.

Mauritius followed on July 18, 2026, with its signing held in Ébène, an island-nation city. Mauritius became the 70th member overall and the seventh African country to join the accords. NASA Deputy Administrator Matt Anderson delivered video remarks for the occasion. "We are honored to welcome Mauritius," Anderson said.
