The court found that Meta, the parent company of Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp, constitutes a "public nuisance" for the harm its platforms caused to children, the Financial Times reported. The $567 million penalty is an additional fine in the case.
Meta said it plans to appeal the ruling.
