An NBC helicopter went down in flames in Los Angeles on September 16, 2026, killing at least three people and injuring others, according to The Guardian.

The aircraft came down near a one-storey commercial building in Chatsworth. That neighborhood sits in the San Fernando Valley. The helicopter caught fire after impact, The Guardian said.

The crew had been on assignment covering a bus crash that had taken place in the same area hours earlier. The Los Angeles Fire Department said that earlier collision killed at least 2 people and left at least 6 injured, ABC News and The Guardian both reported.

The helicopter went down close to the bus crash site, where news crews had gathered to document the scene.
