AI is the most important technology of the current era, according to NVIDIA, which says the field is accelerating innovation across every part of society.
NVIDIA states that countries are actively directing resources toward AI capabilities as part of broader efforts to protect and make use of their data. The company draws a parallel to how nations have long built out domestic infrastructure to strengthen their economies, a pattern it says now extends to AI.
NVIDIA identifies technology opportunities spanning transportation, communications, commerce, entertainment, and healthcare. Those sectors, the company says, are among the areas where AI investment is taking shape at a national level.
The company's position is that domestic AI infrastructure serves both economic and strategic purposes. Nations invest in such infrastructure, NVIDIA says, to retain control over their data while positioning themselves to benefit from the technology's spread across society.
