A UK cybercriminal who was still a juvenile at the time of his offenses was sentenced to two years in jail on Monday, August 10, 2026, after coercing 117 girls into self-harm and sexual abuse.
Justin Swaddle, from Leeds in northern England, carried out the abuse as a member of The Com, a cybercriminal community, according to The Record and CyberScoop. He targeted girls aged 13 to 17 across multiple countries, using threats tied to their personal information to force compliance.
The National Crime Agency led the investigation, The Record said. Swaddle's 117 victims were all female, and the offenses spanned international borders.
