NASA has released a Hubble Space Telescope image showing more than 500,000 stars packed into the globular cluster Messier 3.

The cluster, also referred to as M3, is the subject of the image captured by the Hubble Space Telescope, according to NASA. Stars appear throughout the frame in red, white, and blue hues.

NASA reported that the star count in the image exceeds 500,000. The agency said the colors visible across the cluster range from red through white to blue.

The Hubble Space Telescope produced the image, NASA confirmed, rendering M3 in a display that spans hundreds of thousands of individual stars.
