A cholera outbreak in Sudan has killed more than 100 people, with the besieged city of El-Obeid among the affected communities, United Nations News reported as of July 10, 2026.

El-Obeid is under daily drone attacks that have continued to obstruct humanitarian aid access, UN News said. Sudan has been in a state of active war at the time of the outbreak.

The conflict conditions have raised serious concerns for vulnerable communities across the country, UN News reported.
