Christine Hunsicker, founder of the fashion tech company CaaStle, received a five-year prison sentence on August 20, 2026, for securities fraud, the U.S. Department of Justice announced.

Jamie McDonald, the federal prosecutor for the Southern District of New York, announced the sentence. The scheme involved approximately $300 million, according to the Department of Justice.

At sentencing, Hunsicker argued that a head injury had contributed to her criminal conduct, the Financial Times reported. The judge accepted that the head injury was a contributing factor in the crime.
