Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, was hit by a cyberattack on October 29, 2026, with an estimated $6.3 billion in cryptocurrency stolen, according to The Record. The exchange confirmed it had been hacked and moved to freeze funds and pause withdrawals in the aftermath.
The Record described the theft as a record-sized crypto hack. Blockchain investigators attributed the attack to North Korea, the outlet said.
