Kyle William Spitze, 27, was sentenced to 77 years in prison on August 19, 2026, for producing child sexual abuse material and related offenses, the U.S. Department of Justice said.
Spitze is from Friendsville, Tennessee. The Justice Department said he was convicted on charges that included possessing and accessing child sexual abuse material, as well as abetting the distribution of animal crushing videos.
CyberScoop reported that Spitze was an early member of the 764 violent extremist collective and later led an offshoot of the group. The 77-year term is the most severe sentence handed down to date for a violent nihilistic extremist, CyberScoop said.
According to CyberScoop, Spitze victimized dozens of girls, coercing them into degrading themselves through threats of doxing and swatting.
